Will the Minister of DEFENCE be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has taken stock of the prevailing conditions in the Coastal
regions of South India on both the eastern and western sides with respect to the Chinese
threat;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the diplomatic steps taken by the country keeping in mind
the Chinese presence in Srilanka and its territorial waters
(c) whether the Government is done a thorough analysis of the security threats emanating
from the waters of the eastern and western sides; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and the steps taken by the Government to protect strategically
important places in South India like Chennai, Space Centre at Sriharikota, Atomic power
plants at Kalpakkam and Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant at Kudankulam?
