Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Union Government has received any requests from the
Government of Tamil Nadu to convert eight roads as National Highways
and if so, the details thereof;
(b) the measures taken by the Union Government to increase the road
infrastructure in the State;
(c) the details of the roads in each district of Tamil Nadu that are being
covered for financial assistance under Central Road and Infrastructure
Fund (CRIF) at present; and
(d) the details of the funds released during the last three years for the
said roads along with the pending funds due to be released to the
State
