 THANGAPANDIAN: 

Will the Minister of TRIBAL AFFAIRS be pleased to state: 

(a) whether according to the guidelines of NITI Aayog, the allocation of funds to 
Schedule Tribes should be proportionate to their share of the po;ulation, which as 
per Census 2011 is 8.6 per cent of India’s population, however the allocation in 
Budget 2021 are for from that; 
(b) if so, the reasons therefor; and 
(c) whether the Government has assessed the fund requirement that directly 
benefits the ST community keeping in view that there are only 58 targeted schemes 
amounting to Rs. 27830 Cr. for ST welfare and if so, the details thereof and if not, 
reasons therefor?
