Title: Need to create multilingual Government websites-laid.

While disseminating information relating to the policies, programmes, schemes of the Union Government through websites of Ministries and Departments, unfortunately most of the people in the country are struggling to read and understand the contents as the websites are designed in Hindi or English only. It goes against the fundamental rights of the people enshrined in the Constitution and demean the very purpose of RTI Act 2005. It is the duty of the Government to ensure all its citizens know about its plans, policies, progress and achievements.
To achieve this, all Government websites should be made multilingual, designed and published in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali so that it will be read and understood by all. Therefore, I urge upon the Government to observe equality, in respect of language and make available the information and content of the websites of all the Ministries and departments in Tamil and other languages.
