3695. DR. T. SUMATHY (a) THAMIZHACHI THANGAPANDIAN;
Will the Minister of ROAD TRANSPORT AND HIGHWAYS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has issued any SOP/directive for private bus
operators and cab aggregators to phase out vehicles in their fleet as
per existing BS-VI emission norms and if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether the Government has data on reduced level of air pollution
because of the implementation of BS-VI emission norms across the
country and if so, the details thereof;
(c) the observational data collected on the reduced levels of Sulphur
Oxides (SOx), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) and Particulate Matter (PM)
during the Financial Year (FY) 2022-23 vis-a-vis FY 2019-20;
(d) whether the Government maintains any record of the number of
automobiles manufactured in the country complying with the BS-VI
emission norms during 2022-2023 out of the total annual
manufacturing capacity; and
(e) if so, the details thereof, particularly for two and three-wheelers?
