Regarding Reservation in PSU Jobs

Dr. T. Sumathy (a) ThamizhachiThangapandian (Chennai South): Written examinations were conducted in November 2020 for the recruitment of 269 graduate executive trainees at NLC India Limited. Out of 1,582 candidates provisionally selected for the interview, 99 per cent are from other States and not from Tamil Nadu. There is suspicion and apprehension that candidates from Tamil Nadu were deliberately ignored and their chances sabotaged.

Not announcing the individual marks of candidates is unacceptable and a gross injustice to the aspiring candidates and since the recruitment process is not transparent, I urge the Government to refrain from conducting the recruitment process until it is resolved.

I urge the Government to provide 50 per cent reservation in job opportunities for candidates from the home State where the PSUs are located in the country to fulfil the regional aspirations and uphold social justice.
