Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to
state:
(a) whether the Government has made any assessment of the
requirement/shortage and actual availability of residential units in
the country;
(b) if so, the details thereof, State-wise particularly in Tamil Nadu;
(c) the details of the housing schemes being implemented in the
country;
(d) the amount of funds allocated and released during the last three
years and the current year, scheme and State-wise;
(e) whether the housing schemes being implemented by the
Government have been unsuccessful in fulfilling the housing needs
of the people; and
(f) if so, the reaction of the Government thereto and strategies to
tackle the same?
