3333. DR. T. SUMATHY (a) THAMIZHACHI THANGAPANDIAN:
Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government is aware of the deliberate attempts to include inaccurate and
intrusive matter of distinct political ideologies/orientations in NCERT and CBSE textbooks and
academic materials of Central and State Education Boards ;
(b) if so, the details thereof including measures, if any, taken to rectify and remove such
inaccuracies from NCERT and CBSE text books ;
(c) whether the Government has received any plea from public forum protesting against the
deliberate attempts made to percolate and promote right wing fundamentalist’s interpretations of
historical events in school textbooks and if so, the details thereof ; and
(d) the remedial action taken by the Government in this regard?
