2932. DR. T. SUMATHY (a) THAMIZHACHI THANGAPANDIAN:
Will the Minister of FINANCE be pleased to state:
(a) whether the job vacancies against sanctioned posts in Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) Maharatna, Navratna and Miniratna Companies totalling several thousands have not been filled up and if so, the details of the sanctioned posts and vacancies in CPSEs as on date;
(b) whether the Government has recently announced that for the eligibility to Graduate Trainee Engineer Posts in CPSEs, it is mandatory for the candidates to get pass percentile in Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineers (GATE) and if so, the details thereof;
(c) the steps taken by the Government to provide level playing field and equal opportunities for the qualified Engineering Graduates who have no chance to write GATE examination; and
(d) whether the aspiring candidates still have to qualify in the entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the oral interview for getting posts in CPSEs and if so, the details thereof?
