- During my first year in the committee, I raised the following concerns through the various meetings I was a part of:
ethical standards in media coverage; - questions over the Cinematograph (Amendment) Bill, 2019;
- consideration and adoption of various action taken reports including the Demand
for Grants; - demands for grants for the Ministry of Communications and Ministry of
Electronics and Information Technology; - functioning of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI);
- citizen’s data privacy and representations from the Ministry and other
stakeholders; - review of functioning of BSNL and MTNL and plan for enhancing their
performance.
