Will the Minister of TEXTILES be pleased to state :
(a) whether the Government received any plea to reduce the hank yarn obligation from 40% to 10% for the release of backlog subsidy amount under Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme (TUFS) and other schemes provided to textile sector;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the Government’s action in this regard;
(c) whether it is a fact that the Textile sector in India has potential to create new jobs for another 25 million people by 2025 and if so, the steps taken by the Government in this regard; and
(d) the details of the financial assistance provided to textile industries in Tamil Nadu during the last seven years, Year-wise and cluster-wise?
